hellos. i watched my jie's qihang performance yesterday. it consisted of six acts - "Xia Yu Le", "X1537964444", "Ni Wang", "Hei Si Dai Ji Hua", "Da Ni De Xiao Ren Tou" and "MAsiSK". the first one translates to "It's Raining". it's an act about this 'guy' who is a girl-in-a-guy's-body. then this guy-girl befriends this outcast girl one day when it 'rains', but she finds out his secret. then they split and both are thinking what they have done wrong. at the end, it 'rains' again, just like when they first met. the second one is, well, X153796444. it's the name for an experimental machine. it finds out the reasons for suicides by playing out the scenes in whichever era the experimental subject lives in. the first one is Qu Yuan, the chinese historical figure who is commemorated by chinese dumplings. the second is this guy who has been dumped by his girlfriend. at the end, the guy is eating the dumplings and then he sees the statue of Qu Yuan. he then dumps the half-eaten dumpling on the statue's hand. HAR.
the third act, Ni Wang, ties in with Hei Si Dai Ji Hua, which means 'Black Ribbon Project'. Ni Wang is about a show by the Hei Si Dai Ji Hua about this girl, Yan, who meets a guy, Zhe, online. she is estranged from her father. then she realises 'Zhe' is really her dad. she then meets some Hei Si Dai people, who tell her to play a game that causes her to lose her memories of her father. her father refuses to play the game, so the HSD people use this power thing and eventually, both father and daughter lose memories of each other. then it swtches to 'real life'. the main characters are a guy named Jun and his mum. Jun has lost his dad, and thus keeps playing computer games to anaesthesize himself. his mum is angry with him and seems to leave him. the HSD peeps find out and try to force jun to play the game, where he has to kill his mum in the game, which will make him lose his memory. he refuses to play in the 44 hrs given to him to play. at the last hr, his mum returns and promises to cook his fav food for him. he then sleeps, thinking everything has been only a dream. when he wakes up, he finds his mum gone and the HSD ppl are there. they use power to make him lose his memory. then later on, he plays comp and gets a funny feeling. then he orders his fav food. then ends.
the fifth act, Da Ni De Xiao Ren Tou translates to "Hit You, You Effigy". it shows a mother hitting an effigy of her husband because he has cheated on her. he dies eventually. 14 yrs later, the daughter is grown up and in college. her ma believes that she ought to follow the good luck advice of a 'master' so she can score in her exams. but she doesn't listen. in the end, she overhears her mother talking to the master and about putting her birth characters on an effigy. believing it to be a curse, she gets her ma's effigy and hits it. her ma suffers from a heart attack or sth, and the act ends. the sixth one has my jie in it. it's like "Death Mask", cause the 'si' in "MAsiSK" is the chinese character for death. this guy has to put on a facade, for his job is to make others laugh even if he doesn't find it funny. then when he can't take off the 'mask' he has worn, my jie and other 3 girls come out and wear the mask too. the 4 girls are the personifications of his mind, plus another who is the 'good' side of him. my jie is the 'greedy' part, another is the 'cruel' part, another is the 'false feelings' part and the other is the 'uncaring' part. but eventually the 4 personifications take off the mask, leaving the main guy to be there on his own.
my jie has her mask with her. SCARY. she claims masks have life. must never put a finger through the eyehole, 'cause it has LIFE. erm. not sure what to say of that. o.O

hellos. this is my 333rd post! yayees. anyway gna talk about swimming carnival.
so ystd it was DAMN HOT at the swimming complex. it was also very boring. i think maybe garnet got first... according to boyu. with sapphire. we keep getting 3rd in the events. aneka and i 'escaped' to the top where there were the fans. haha.
i realised that many of the boys are frighteningly skinny. so scary. won't cite any exact examples, but one particular guy normally looks OK and sort-of muscular (at least in the legs area) in sch uniform but he looks ultra-skinny when it comes to swimming. can see the ribs. eek. and we girls, for some weird reason, are discussing this matter - about whether is it 1-pack, 4-pack or ribs. won't say WHERE we're discussing. but it's becoming quite, QUITE funny. and i think i was the one who started it. oops. lol. the ppl involved in the discussion will know who i'm talking about. :P (ps: i make my stand clear that i do NOT like this guy. or any other guy for that matter. or maybe a little for one.)

today we went to pasir ris park. SO FUN. we reached at abt 8:45, give or take a few mins. first we played volleyball, except that majority of us had no idea how to play and, well, the ball was wet from being in the grass. eew. then we were like walking around the park. haha. after that we spotted the playground and we started playing there.
many of us tried the swings. i didn't unless you count going backwards and swinging a few cm trying. there was SO MUCH SAND there. some of us tried this walking-on-ropes thing. including me. lol. i was sorta scare i'd fall. but i didn't. the more adventurous ones were like jumping on the rope-thing, which have these big pieces of cloth for you to jump on. i also tried this spinning thing, where you have to hold on to this metal bar and just spin, with more people. lol. the last thing many of us tried, except for me, was this spinning thing where you have to sit and just go round and round. it's tilted lor, so some ppl will be up high.
HP sort of jumped onto the tilted spinning disc and landed in the middle where there was sand. he did that a fair number of times. oh, and his shorts got sand (on the outside, of course). JM lay down on the disc and got his shirt dirty with sand. HAHA.
though i did only a couple of things, it was still pretty fun and funny watching people having fun. i do hope to be more adventurous next time.

i went out with Nadia, Felicia, Nigel and Nadia's brother Benjamin today. we first met at J8, then we went to the library. i borrowed Stephen King's Carrie, Firestarter and The Eye Of The Dragon. currently starting on Carrie. so nice. anyway, after that we went to AMK hub and again i bought some earrings. so nice. haha. we were like window shopping. then at arnd 2:15, nigel and benjamin went off on their own and we girls went to this japanese restaurant. the food was very nice. ha. then we went to popular at jubilee. felicia bought a file while nadia and i didn't buy anything. then we parted ways. i went home by feli's car - i was offered a lift, see? :P what a fun day today. ^^

today was Aesthetics Day. mrs cha told us abt science first. then we did the punch art bookmarks. i made this dark orange one with a few band names and random phrases i thought up of. after that was the talent show, starring 13 6E-ians and 17 6F-ians. so nice. at the start of each song ET was the one who did the pre-song counting. THEN piano solos by the 'Tan brothers'. first is bryan, aaron's kid bro. he played this VERY fast song. nice. then aaron played Canon in D. I LOVE CANON! it's such a nice song. it's v slow compared to what bryan played. there was also this pause when the scoresheet fell while aaron was playing. i heard the piano, violin and electric guitar versions before, and being a sucker for rock music, i like the electric guitar version best. hehhs. though, i digress. then anyway we had recess and i plated 'team catching' with Chih Yun, Jocelyn and Rong Fang. haha. haven't played or run like that for such a long time. hahh. after recess we viewed our 'I Am David' work. i was like behind mrs cha and almost nobody noticed me until my work was shown and i said like, "i'm here." HAHA. then we did the mosaic. lol. was so fun. Ying Yi's grp smashed the mosaic tiles to get the broken ones. haha. i made this super colourful lizard with a black-and-green tail and black-and-green feet. i think i'll take a photo of it and upload it when i get it back. :) then we went to watch the musical by Studio Wu. it was mainly a song and dance thing. not a big fan and my ears nearly got busted. eeyouch. anyways... it was generally good. then we went back to class and we did dictation for Science. o.O zy and aaron were sort of behind me, and jm and xt were behind me too. was kind of annoying in a way. but i sorta enjoyed the performance anyway. gotta go, byes.

the results are all out. sigh. here goes: those marked with asteriks means i scored better than in CA1
Eng: 70.5/95 (considered 75%, A, but i still suck. JUST met my target)
Maths: 90.5/100* (WAHHH half mark short of 91!!! A-star!)
Chi: 78.5/90 for paper 2, 81/100 for all components* (ok la. :))
Science: 85/100* (improved! by half mark. o.O)
HMT: 30.5/60* (i SUCK, i know. hope i PASSED the compo or i'm gna die. SIGH. but then, improved by half mark)
i hate my english and hmt results. i'm so pathetic lah. oh well. what's past is past. SIGH.

forgot to mention this. i pierced my ears! haha. by now most ppl wld have noticed. we girls are SO observant! the guys probably think i'm still the same old me. XD lol, i'm a pretty unmaterialistic person. i spent $5 on three SUPER NICE pairs of earrings ystd. one pair is a lock-and-key. one is lock, one is key. ir's dark greenish-black. the 2nd pair was made up of two heart shapes with a little diamante there(one heart each). the 3rd pair was 2 black roses and 2 diamantes on each one. on sat i bought black, purple and dark blue earsticks. so nice!! hahhs.
on sat i saw a super nice tshirt gg for $8. but decided not to buy after all. what if i cnt wear after i grow taller? earrings etc will still be wearable after a long time.
haha. gtg. see y'all. must do project... >.< byes. ^^

went out with sarah and ltr boyu today. sarah and i first had lunch at kfc (where i showed her my original songfic =)) then we bought the tix for Bridge to Terabithia. super nice movie... v sad. haha. before tt we went to buy mother's day presents. heh. i bought a nice jewellery box for my mum. ha. then we met boyu after the movie. we were walking arnd, shopping. had fun!
but then ah, sarah super annoying smtimes. when it comes to movie. she lacks empathy and imagination. SIGH.

HI PEOPLE, I AM BAAAACK! ok, not FULLY back since i'll officially go online on fri. sighkangs. here're my aims for the exam:
Eng: 71/95 (read on Boyu's blog tt highest of 6E is only 75.5 or sth. OMFG.)
Maths: 85/100 (was a manageable paper)
Chi: 75/90 (hope can la. was easy-so-so =))
Sci: 80/100 (eek. i'm SCARED)
HMT: 42/60 (dunno why 42, but i guess it's cos it's a multiple of 7 - my fav number after 12)
AAAH I'M SCARED. GOING THROUGH ENG TOMORROW. I SURE DIE LIAO!!! GYAHHH.
will update again on fri if i'm in a gd enough mood, possibly sat if my mood on fri was bad. on My Week from 5 May to 11 May. (prev Sat to this Fri) oh well. gd luck to all in the science paper.

added a new song: the korean version of Maria by Kim Ah Joong. it's a v gd song, and has pop/rock elements. Kim Ah Joong has a very gd voice and i'm hoping to watch 200 Pounds Beauty, along with Spiderman 3 (i like to call it Spidey 3), POTC: At Worlds End and HPOOTC. FYI, POTC stands for Pirates Of The Caribbean and HPOOTC is Hary Potter and the Order Of The Phoenix. can't wait to watch all these movies after exams, and after PSLE. and going out with friends too. oh well. guess the mths will pass quickly. except tt i'll definitely miss nlps. SIGH. and everyone here. sigh. incl the guys. most of them are actually gd guys, as i've discovered the past 4 mths. and the girls rock. frens forever, as they say. =)

SICKENING. hate this man...

HI! i changed the blogskin. hope it's looking good. =) i quite like it myself. there are 4 layers of blurs - the background, the dimmest stars, the 'middle' stars and the brightest stars. to create tt kind of effect. =) ENJOY.
there's also a new section - featured song. this will be updated regularly, or as regularly as possible, with the lyrics of a 'featured song'. the first Feautured Song is M.I.A. by Avenged Sevenfold. it's a v gd song, about war. it's putting war in a negative light and i applaud it. the song puts you in the mind of a soldier, who must kill and nothing else. sad song, i know, but it's very good. oh, and DO check out the godlike guitar solo!

oh damn it. damn it. damn it. the PBL report's is still not done. doesn't help that a) i'm at kuan's hse and b) it's, what, 9.45 PM? i wish it was AM, so we'd have more time. i'll probably be leaving in a matter of minutes, though i feel quite awake due to the fact that i've been sleeping on and off. was so tired from the day. SIGH. so depressing.
i suddenly realised that i'm starting not to care about him anymore. in fact, i'm almost past caring. i'm even beginning to hate him a little. but i still like him... a distant kind of liking, admiration, watcha call it. it's just crazy. that's one more to add to my troubles.

ohmygod. I AM IN SHOCK. i checked out the website for Maths Olympiad (after Sherry told me a certain piece of news) and i found the results for Olympiad. Results:
Platinum: none, sadly.
Gold: Kushwant and Wei Qi (not surprising, both maths geniuses)
Silver: michelle (again unsurprising, seeing as how good she is at Maths)
Bronze: Cher Kian (ok la, admittedly good at maths), Zong Yao (pretty good at Maths too) and... me.
OH GOD, I SUCK AT MATHS! THIS IS LIKE, IMPOSSIBLE! THERE ARE SO MANY OTHERS WHO ARE BETTER AT MATHS! Examples: Jia Hong, Boyu, Sherry, Xie Ting, Eugene... i swear, this is CRAZY.
but it's kinda fun too. lifted the day's spirits a little.
