At last I have posted!!! I'm going to blog about the Star Idol Grand Final on Sunday 20th March 2006! It was a great Grand Final. As every Singaporean knows (or at least those who haven't been hiding under a rock) , Bryan won the competition! YAY! At first, in the last 8, I supported Leann until she was confirmed to be out. So I shifted my support to Jacqueline. But she was still booted out!!! So only Alicia, Cheng Xi, Bryan and Leo were left. Right? Right. Then I totally supported Alicia and nearly sobbed when she was voted out. So only 3 guys were left... I supported Cheng Xi lots more. Actually i did support him since the final 5 was clear. After he was out (I was so angry I screamed in fury with my sister and we both switched the google box off), I was choosing between Leo and Bryan to be the Star Idol. For some reason I dislike Leo, thus I supported Bryan. No, I don't think i'm very fickle-minded! I was forced by circumstances!!! Anyway Bryan was great in the Grand Finals. There were 5 segments. First one had Bryan performing wushu in a gangster setting. Apparently the authority guy told him to take off his jacket in that segment. So he did. And showed his abs. I was quite shocked... Anyway he won full favour with the judges in that segment. Leo was swordfighting. His hat dropped to his eyelids after the sword-fighting. He shoved it up and his tai-ci (stage line) was, "Kill me, then." Won no favour that round. Second part had Felicia Chin playing Bryan's kinda prissy girlfriend. She pretended to be Leo's ex whom Leo ditched. Of course, Leo was never Felicia Chin's character's (her name is Paris) boyfriend. Bryan mainly acted with facial expressions. He only had up to 5 lines of speech in that segment! Leo won favour with one of the judges. Bryan won favour with the other four judges that round. Third part had Leo getting spurned by Ann Kok's character and ending up in a sorry, silent-crying state and Bryan nearly breaking up with Paris. So one guy was spurned while the other got hitched. Well, he was already hitched...Leo won absolute favour with the judges in that round. The next segment had them dancing (!!!). Leo moved sleekly, but Bryan was kind of stiff. Too bad for him. Bryan won favour with two judges in that round. The last round had them dreaming about their Star Idol dreams. The Project Superstar champ, Kelvin Tan Weilian, sang 'All I Want Is...', which is the title track of his debut album. So all they want is Star Idol fame. Right. Bryan won complete favour with all five judges- he was the obvious favourite to win! So next was the all-important announcement of the first Star Idol winner! It was BRYAN! My sister and I were so happy we screamed in utter delight!!! In unison for the first time in 2 weeks, too! Only two weeks ago we were screaming in unison because we were furious that Cheng Xi did not get into the Grand Final.
I had a ton of homework just now, but managed to finish everything and use the computer for one hour. Got to go!!!!
P.S.: I also have a Blogging Course at school this Friday. But I already have a blog!!! Hahaha!!!

Yesterday, I went to my cousin's new house. I did not watch 'Yours, Mine and Ours', however. We were busy moving the stuff from my cousin's old house (which is where I'm blogging from) to the condominium unit. The next day, my aunt and uncle were at work and my elder cousin, Geok Han, was at a class gathering at East Coast Park. So my other cousin, Kuan Wee, my sis and I went over to the condominium unit and watched the 'Troy' DVD. Prince Paris (Orlando Bloom) was a coward at first. He was fighting with King Menelaus (I do not know which actor portrays him) for Helen of Sparta/Troy (Diane Kruger), and left his brother Hector (Eric Bana) to fight cos he was injured. And there was Achilles (Brad Pitt). He was 'loyal to no country' and supposedly the son of a goddess. He was supposed to be immortal. However he still died as Paris shot him with four or five arrows. I think Orlando Bloom really knows archery. He played an archer in Lord of The Rings, according to Kuan Wee. Troy was a great movie, but I rate it 4/5, as it does not belong to the movie genres I like. Not exactly suitable for under-16s, don't you think so? Even though there was lots of blood and gory fighting scenes (think swords and spears in enemy faces), it was still a great movie. I never knew there was so much to the legend of Helen of Troy and Prince Paris of Troy. The movie ended with the cremation of Achilles' body. Luckily most of the scenes have CGI. Achilles and Hector were the greatest in those times!!! Great warriors, really. Troy is an excellent movie. Also, I saw Christopher Lee and Jesseca Liu at the condo's main gates the day before yesterday. Sorry to their fans, but here's a couple of spoilers: Christopher Lee looked kinda scraggy. His hair was like 'a lion's mane', according to my sis. There was a quarrelling scene. Screamed until Jesseca Liu cried, I think. In the show, I mean. My cousin says the show they are filming is "Lan2 Se4 Xian1 Ren2 Zhang3". First time I saw celebs in person. But from a distance! I think that they saw my cousins, sister and I. Cool!!! Goodbye!

I've got a LOT of things to say today! My sister bought I-Weekly, and there was something on Cheng Xi, the final 8 Star Idols (including Jacqueline n Alicia!) and the last two standing - Bryan and Leo. Bryan was pretty good-looking. My sis kind of...gushed abt how shuai Bryan is. She apparently likes celebs with small eyes and/or great abs. Bryan has the abs, so she likes him. Duh. Teenage girls and women in their early twenties, maybe some preteen girls are pretty complex. The females of the homo sapiens species are an extremely complicated race. We always seem to have at least ONE male celeb in our mind. Especially those with the abs...or just have that cute look. Some pretty boy crazy people I know of are my sis and my second oldest below-20-years-of-age cousin. I don't wanna be hunted down by her, so I shall not reveal her name. I watched Star Idol last night. There was a sort of popularity contest. You know, I think Bryan won the mini-challenge. Or maybe I'm just biased. Correct me if I'm wrong! Today I went to my cousins' house to stay. We are going to watch 'Yours, Mine and Ours' later, at about seven forty-five or so. We also went to my cousins' new house. They'll move into it next Sunday. It's a unit in a new Ang Mo Kio condominium called Grandeur 8. Grandeur sounds pretty French. As we were coming back to the new house, there was a rubber snake in the bushes. It was very scary - everyone (OK, not everyone. A family of four or five and my elder female cousin and I) thought it was a real snake! It seemed SO real! When the man in that family poked the bush, my cousin and I were so terrified the snake would lash out and attack that we screamed and dashed up the 3 steps of stairs in record time! Nothing much to report now! Got to go, tata!

Like walking into a dream,
So unlike what you've seen
So unsure but it seems,
'Cause we’ve been waiting for you
Fallen into this place,
Just giving you a small taste
Of your afterlife here so stay,
You'll be back here soon anyway
I see a distant light,
But girl this can't be right
Such a surreal place to see
so how did this come to be
Arrived too early
And when I think of all the places
I just don't belong
I've come to grips with life
And realize this is going too far
I don't belong here,
We gotta move on dear
Escape from this afterlife
'Cause this time I'm right
To move on and on,
Far away from here
A place of hope and no pain,
Perfect skies with no rain
Can leave this place but refrain,
'Cause we've been waiting for you
Fallen into this place,
Just giving you a small taste
Of your afterlife here so stay,
You'll be back here soon anyway
This peace on earth's not right
(with my back against the wall)
No pain or sign of time
(I’m much too young to fall)
So out of place don't wanna stay,
I feel wrong and that's my sign
I've made up my mind
Gave me your hand but realize
I just wanna say goodbye
Please understand I have to leave
And carry on my own life
I don't belong here,
We gotta move on dear
Escape from this afterlife
'Cause this time I'm right
To move on and on,
Far away from here
Got nothing against you
and surely I'll miss you
This place full of peace and light,
And I’d hope you might
Take me back inside
When the time is right
Loved ones back home all crying
'Cause they're already missing me
I pray by the grace of God
That there's somebody listening
Give me a chance to be that person I wanna be
(I am unbroken; I’m choking on this ecstasy)
Oh Lord I'll try so hard but you gotta let go of me
(Unbreak me, unchain me, I need another chance to live)
[Solo]
I don't belong here,
We gotta move on dear
Escape from this afterlife
'Cause this time I'm right
To move on and on,
Far away from here
Got nothing against you
And surely I'll miss you
This place full of peace and light,
And I’d hope you might
Take me back inside
When the time is right
