Hey people, I'm BACK from Malaysia! It was one of THE coolest Christmases EVER. Okay, I got a couple details mixed up in my previous posts. So here's a full summary of each day spent in Genting.

23rd Dec

We checked in and got a room on the second storey of the Genting Resort Hotel, which is a large spacious room. After we unpacked we went down to lunch. Then we went to the arcade at Genting Hotel. I didn't do anything except hold the wallets, cards and jackets of my sis and cousin Kuan Wee, of whom I shall refer to as Kuan. Kuan came with us to Genting. So after that we went back to the hotel room and waited for my parents to come back from their own activities. At around six to seven we had dinner, then we (Kuan, my sis and I) went to the First World Genting Bowl. I was the one who took care of the jackets and all. Kuan got a few spares and my sis did quite a bit of... community service (the ball rolled to the drain-thing, which in Chinese is called xi3 long2 gou1, which means to wash the drains). Then we returned to the hotel room, played T.T (NOT the crying-face emote, it's the shortform we devised for Tai Ti or Big Two. According to Kuan lah) and slept later on.

24th Dec

The place was swarming with guests. First we had breakfast, then we had a lot of free time, up till seven P.M. We first went to the arcade then the Genting Bowl again. As usual I was the caretaker. At seven, we had dinner, then we walked around a bit, with my parents. My sister and I got nice Santa hats. At around eight-thirty, we went to The Pavillion Theatre to watch a show called Mysteria: Believe The Impossible. It's based on ancient Egyptian times, about a slave girl with magical potential who escaped from the cruel hands of a pharaoh. During the show, the star of the show, someone named Tim Kole or something like that who's an illusionist, he showed two tigers. One was a orange one, the other a white tiger named Kiera (or something like that). Kiera was beautiful indeed, and the illusionist told us to help protect endangered animals. Erm. After that we had our own little countdown and took photos. I'll post the photos here soon. After that it was the hotel room as usual.

25th Dec

Christmas Day! At nine-thirty, we set off for Kuala Lumpur. It was only a day trip. We went to a shopping centre called Sungei Wang Plaza. On our way there we met one of my other cousins. At Sungei Wang Plaza we bought a lot of new stuff! At around six-thirty, we returned to the hotel. Only at about eight or nine did we have dinner. Then we walked around a little and went back to the hotel room.

26th Dec

My parents went to the casino till six AM. My sis and I awoke at around nine, my parents at around ten or so. Kuan woke a little earlier than my parents. We carried our bags to the bell counter at First World, then we were free till one. We went to the Genting Bowl again and stayed there till one. At one-thirty or so we boarded the coach back to Singapore. The trip was fast -we officially reached Singapore at seven-thirty. We reached home at around eight. Between one-thirty and seven-thirty, it was extremely noisy due to the fact that there was a family with irritating, noisy kids that sat in the seats in front of ours. They nearly rendered us sleepless till my mum and the other people shushed them. After that, after the stop near Yong Peng, one of those kids were talking. That kid called out to his mum and we were all like, "SHH!!!" Haha.

Artiste: Avenged Sevenfold
Song: Afterlife
Album: Avenged Sevenfold

Like walking into a dream,
So unlike what you've seen
So unsure but it seems,
'Cause we’ve been waiting for you
Fallen into this place,
Just giving you a small taste
Of your afterlife here so stay,
You'll be back here soon anyway

I see a distant light,
But girl this can't be right
Such a surreal place to see
so how did this come to be
Arrived too early

And when I think of all the places
I just don't belong
I've come to grips with life
And realize this is going too far

I don't belong here,
We gotta move on dear
Escape from this afterlife
'Cause this time I'm right
To move on and on,
Far away from here

A place of hope and no pain,
Perfect skies with no rain
Can leave this place but refrain,
'Cause we've been waiting for you

Fallen into this place,
Just giving you a small taste
Of your afterlife here so stay,
You'll be back here soon anyway

This peace on earth's not right
(with my back against the wall)
No pain or sign of time
(I’m much too young to fall)
So out of place don't wanna stay,
I feel wrong and that's my sign
I've made up my mind

Gave me your hand but realize
I just wanna say goodbye
Please understand I have to leave
And carry on my own life

I don't belong here,
We gotta move on dear
Escape from this afterlife
'Cause this time I'm right
To move on and on,
Far away from here

Got nothing against you
and surely I'll miss you
This place full of peace and light,
And I’d hope you might
Take me back inside
When the time is right

Loved ones back home all crying
'Cause they're already missing me
I pray by the grace of God
That there's somebody listening
Give me a chance to be that person I wanna be
(I am unbroken; I’m choking on this ecstasy)
Oh Lord I'll try so hard but you gotta let go of me
(Unbreak me, unchain me, I need another chance to live)

[Solo]

I don't belong here,
We gotta move on dear
Escape from this afterlife
'Cause this time I'm right
To move on and on,
Far away from here

Got nothing against you
And surely I'll miss you
This place full of peace and light,
And I’d hope you might
Take me back inside
When the time is right
